UltraDDoS Protect Annual Distributed Denial-of-Service Analysis January – December 2024

In 2024, the DDoS threat landscape surged dramatically as Vercara UltraDDoS Protect detected 270,405 attacks—a 160.73% increase over 2023. June peaked at 78,953 attacks, while October recorded a record 1.4 Tbps assault with 459.10 Mpps. Although most attacks were small-scale (0.0–0.5 Gbps), carpet bombing rose sharply, comprising 82.78% of incidents.
