Of all the foundational elements of the internet, the Domain Name System (DNS) is among the most critical. It enables users to locate and connect to online resources—from corporate websites to cloud services—and underpins the modern digital experience. Because of this importance, DNS is also a frequent target for attackers seeking to disrupt availability or compromise services.
UltraDNS not only delivers resilient and secure DNS resolution, it also provides visibility into how the DNS landscape is evolving. Each month we analyze authoritative query and attack data across the UltraDNS network to surface trends, highlight shifts in traffic patterns, and share insights that can help organizations understand and anticipate DNS-related risks.
This report summarizes those findings and provides a snapshot of the current DNS environment as observed across UltraDNS.
